Looking for a lux hotel in Paris
Hello Fellow Travelers!
I am totally overwhelmed and confused by all of the choices of hotels in Paris. I will be there with my husband next Sunday and Monday night (only 2 nights!) so we want to do it up a bit. I LOVE the Eiffel Tower and it would be so amazing to look at it from my window of my hotel room but I don't know where to do that - or if that area would be desirable. I'm looking at the Four Seasons George V, the Hotel Vendome, L'Hotel, and Hidden Hotel - among others. I'm open to anything but we really want a beautiful room and are willing to pay up to $1250 a night to get it (I even feel nuts looking at myself writing that!). So, that being said - if you have any info in these types of hotels please divulge your knowledge! Thanks!

Hotel Pont Royal has lovely views of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is home to L'atelier de Joël Robuchon Restaurant, which is another positive in its favor.
It was one of the hotels we considered for our last trip to Paris. We did not opt to stay there, selecting a less expensive hotel, but the website photos made it tempting.

Actually, I checked the hotel website before posting and rooms and suites were available for next weekend. And I know if you are staying at the hotel that the restaurant could possibly find a spot for two "last minute" folks.
We had a discussion about that just last week with the folks at l'atelier in NY, where we ate one night (pre-booked reservation) and had such a wonderful meal we went back the very next night without having pre-booked.

The Brighton Hotel on Rue Rivoli has some rooms that fit your requirements. Ask for a room in the front that has the view of the Eiffel Tower. I stayed in such a room 3 years ago and the view especially at night when the tower was lit was grand.

I would say the Hotel Le Notre Dame was for me a fantastic experience.
I stayed in for 2 days like you and couldn't get out of my room, the view of the Cathedral Notre Dame is like nowhere else. It’s not the Eiffel tower but the area is much nicer for discovering Paris. The genuine Parisian stuff are across the street like the “bouquiniste” : the second hand books stalls on the river banks.
And if you need anything like booking a restaurant or even have a question, the staff is there with a smile to get it done or answer you. For my birthday my wife asked the hotel for a the perfect restaurant and with her requirements they found exactly what I wanted.
Just to say my two days stay was a complete success and I could never thank the hotel enough.

There are rooms at the Crillon that have a view of the Eiffel Tower. However, I think those rooms are more than $1200 a night, but I am not positive about that.
Two of my sisters spent their honeymoons at the Crillon. I know that Jennifer had a view of the Eiffel Tower from her room, but back in 1987 her room was $2,000 a night.
The Crillon is in an absolutely brilliant location.
I stayed at the Crillon once, but my room did not have a view of the Eiffel Tower.
Good luck.
