locanda ca le vele or orseolo

My wife and I can have a canal view room at Locanda Orseolo or a canal balcony room at Locanda Ca Le Vele. Can anyone give me any help deciding which to choose? Locanda Orseolo is top rated on Tripadvisor.com but there have been some (not many but all positive) comments on Locanda Ca Le Vele. Thanks!

We've stayed at Locanda Ca Le Vele last October in a triple room with canal view (no balcony). Since it's only a narrow canal we really didn't see very much of it. The room was very large, the bathroom was really very tiny! Everything was spotless.
Most of all we loved the location, though: very quiet and yet very close to Rialto Bridge and 2 min. walk from Ca d'Oro vaporetto stop.

If you can get a room at Locanda Orseolo take it! Staying there is a treat! You will love the staff there--alos a perfect location. For the best canal views, ask for a room on the first floor. When you are higher you have to lean out a bit to look down to see. You will not be sorry if you stay with Barbara, Mateo, Igor and Francesco.
Good luck,

We stayed at Locanda Orseolo in May and found the hotel to be a find. We were on the top floor with a canal view. It does get noisy early morning but if you keep your windows closed you will not hear the noise.

They do have air conditioning. I would recommend this hotel.

I couldn't keep my reservation at the Locanda Orseolo this year. I regret it as I understand that it's difficult to get a room there now. I second the advice that if you can get a room there that you should take it.
