We have stayed there twice in 2000 and 2001, both in a canal view room. We love the location in Dorsoduro, it's on a quiet canal close to the Accademia.
Our room was small but well appointed and the bathroom was very modern. We stopped in on our visit to Venice last month to see a few of the rooms in the building next door, where they have apparently expanded to. These were very nice as well.
The staff was helpful with making reservations for us.
Based on our experience, I would recommend and we would consider staying here in the future.
Just a note, on our recent visit, part of the canal farther down the rio was under renovation, which would prevent boats and gondolas from traveling this route (which we enjoyed floating by in the late afternoon/early evening...and the lovely Campo San Vio was also behind boards. Not sure how long this will be the case.

Hello krystal --
I stayed in room 201 last July while on my honeymoon. It was great! We had 3 balconies and a great view. It was quiet at night, had a large bathroom, and free internet in the lobby. The hotel is in a convenient location -- just a few minutes walk from the Accademia Bridge. The desk staff was also very helpful.
Hope that helps! -- h.

My wife and I stayed there in May of 2001 and loved it. We were on the top floor in the canal view room on the left as you face the front of the hotel (not sure of the room number but it has one small balcony). The room, breakfast, the staff and the location worked very well for us. One of our highlights was having the hotel book our gondola ride where he picked us up at the hotel and took us on a wonderful sunset ride throughout Venice. The only word of caution is we heard from another guest that their inside room was quite small and dark for their taste. We very much recommend the canal view rooms based on our experience.
