Lisbon lodging for family of 4

We're in the preliminary stages of planning a trip to Portugal and am trying to get an idea of lodging costs. We would probably stay in Lisbon 4 nights and another location (possibly Algarve) for 3 nights.
I have not found any hotels that are available when we would be going that could accommodate a family of 4 in one room, other than the Martinhal hotels.

Has anyone traveled with their family and stayed at a hotel that you'd recommend? Alternately, I'd consider two hotel rooms if the hotel offers a discount on 2nd room, so those suggestions are welcome also.

I'm also open to the idea of a vacation apartment rental but not sure that makes the most sense since we will be splitting up the time between locations.

Thank you.

Depends on how old your family members are I suppose. Our family of 4 stayed in the Marriott several years ago out of my sheer laziness, I was traveling for work and did not want to pack and unpack again when my family joined me. We were not able to get connecting rooms but the hotel was kind enough to add a roll-away in a room with 2 queens. In fact they suggested it to me, I was surprised that they did. My 2 kids were very young then. The Marriott was 20 minutes ~10 euro? cab ride away from the center of town but I did not care.

Hi,
It makes more sense in Lisbon to rent an apartment for those 4 days, check with airnbnb
I'm surprise you didn't find a hotel with a room for 4, there are several ones, these ones are 4 stars, but there are also 3 and less stars:

NH Collection Lisboa Liberdade
Altis Prime Hotel
SANA Lisboa Hotel

Hi, any first-hand experience with the 3 hotels mentioned above? Reviews look good until you read them in detail, then they seem to be mixed. Curious about location in particular.
Thank you.

Hi,
I'm from Lisbon, i didn't stay in any of those hotels, obviously, so i don't know the hotels from the inside, but they are top notch hotels in a very central, expensive area. I think you'll not be disappointed in any of those, but i can't say for sure

Thank you! Altis has some availability so that looks like a good option.

We're now researching apartments. Any thoughts on Rua de Sao Bento and the immediate area? Thank you!
