I've taken a taxi from the Krakow station with no problem, and it doesn't cost that much because it's not that far away from town center. They have a taxi queue there, you just go to it, you don't need to phone one. It's kind of an odd location, it's on the roof basically (at least, it's up from ground level), so you do have to search out the signs and figure out where to go a little (you take an elevator up there).

Google Earth...Get the route to your hotel from the train station. It may be better to walk. There are three fare classes for taxis. The lowest fare is with a telephone ordered taxi, the taxi stand pick up is next and the third that of the 'free lancer'. He will charge what he thinks you will pay. Not sure of the route? Check your bags at the station and explore.

Hi - we were just in Krakow over Easter and stayed at the Hotel Batory (very nice)not far from your hotel. It is a 15 minute walk to the train station to the Batory. Your hotel is a little farther away. If you are not carrying a lot of luggage you can walk it.

Go to www.Booking.com and look up your hotel on their site. They have a tab marked map - click on it and you can see your hotel. Your hotel will be orange - click on the slider bar so you enlarge the map and see street names. If you look to the right side of the map you will see Blich street, follow up the street and you will see Mikolaja Kopernika street. The train station is there (you will see the train tracks). Unless you have a lot of luggage it is an easy walk.
