Keukenhof Gardens in March??

We will be in Amsterdam March 23-30. Will a trip to the Keukenhof Gardens be worth it at that time? I'm concerned that may be too early in the blooming season.

It opens on March 22 but the only tulips you are likely to see are in the greenhouses.

We were in Amsterdam in mid-March and there were plenty of crocus, hyacinths, and daffodils, but no tulips. Not a crush of tulip peeping tourists either.

Temps. in NL are higher then usual.
If this continues, yes you will see the early types of tulips.

We already have daffodils blooming in our garden so yes Keukenhof will be worth visiting, but what flowers you will see I wouldn't like to say. At this rate it could well be tulips....

I've been to Keukenhof in the first week of April and there was hardly any outdoor tulip blooming except in a few pots that they brought out from the greenhouse. Hetismij's optimism may be right about this year early spring.

Hi, I will be visiting the garden this Sunday (1 Apr) hoping to see some good tulips? Am I going to be fooled? Is it worth going to the gardens at this time?

Any help is much appreciated.

The best answer can be obtained by contacting the Keukenhof directly through their contact link at:
http://www.keukenhof.nl/nm/130/Pract...ing-hours.html

They will give you current info up to the day.
