I was at Esperas in September and loved it it's quite a bit cheaper than the other two. It's at the far end of Oia and there is a lot of stair climbing involved. The rooms are charming, the service was great and they have a restaurant that I only ate snacks at but the meals sounded tempting. If you want to see some pictures you can look at my page at virtual tourist http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/4a4b1/. No matter where you go you will love Greece!

Hi,

I have stayed at the Katikies and the Esperas. The stair climbing is more strenuous at the Katikies. Also it is a little more upscale, but not a lot more up scale. It has a better pool, but the clientele was very quiet and whenever we talked at poolside, we were looked at with glares. We were not loud, but no one else talked, they just worshiped the sun. We (four people) would love to sit and stare at the view and talk. The people at Esperas were more flexible and we all talked to each other. Definitely more friendly. I think you will be happy with either hotel. I have not stayed at the Perivolas. Have fun.

Sorry, but it really shows the narrow experience of Greek travel that many posters here have, when they don't even have to ask where in the whole of Greece these hotels are. From Trish's answer about Oia, I take it we're talking about Santorini (again!). When will non-Europeans realise that there is more to Greece than Athens, Crete and a few islands in the Cyclades?
