Istambul Hotel in Sultanmet with a Good Bospherus view- Help

Can anyone suggest a good hotel in Sultanmet, Istambul which has a good view of Bospherus from the room @ around 100 -120 USD in 1st week of May 10.

Some hotel which will make my trip really memorable...

There are alot of hotels with a view from the terrace but not exactly from the room.

Best views are from the Ciragan Palace. Alas, rates are considerably above $100.

Hi

What about the Cosmopolitan Park Hotel - http://www.cosmopolitanparkhotel.com. Maybe Vatan Asur Hotel - http://www.vatanasurhotel.com. Their website isn't very specific so email them for info on rooms with a sea view.

I think you should check your guide books and maps.

it is impossible to have a view of the Bosphorus from Sultanahmet. You can have a view of the marmara sea, but that is not the same thing. Top floors of some Sirkeci hotels may have a bit of a Bosphorus view.

For Bosphorus views, you may try some aparts or residences in Cihangir area since the hotels in Taksim and Cihangir, with or without a view are still more than $150. the highrise hotels and those on the sea front start at $400 for a city or park view room.

Thanks a lot for the help and suggestions.

I am actually planning a longer trip in a short time and planning to club one more country alongwith Turkey and haven't got the time to study each destination in detail. Hence the goof up in spellings, names and locations.
I am still trying hard to get my itinerary right.

I think staying at Sultanamet has a distinct advantage in terms of sight seeing.

Any more inputs are most welcome.
thanks again.

I stayed the hotel of the seven hills and had a sweeping view of the Hagia Sophia. http://www.hotelsevenhills.com/ It was in your price range I think. I loved saying in Sultanamet. The train goes everywhere and you can walk to it, so you should consider it.

It's almost impossible to see the Bosphorus from the hotels of Sultanahmet. Since it is visible from another region, you can see its beginning somewhere, but still you would not be able to see it very well. There is a very good view of the Marmara Sea from Sultanahmet. The Bosphorus can be seen from the hotels of Taksim district. I stayed at the Butik Star Hotel:

The view of the Bosporus is just gorgeous!

I have shortlisted Hotel Best Western Empire Palace,Sirkeci.
It doesn't have a sea view from the room, but a very good view from the terrace and the upper floor rooms.
The location is very good and convinient. Has good reviews on many sites, but has 164 no in popularty index on Tripadvisor.com.

Has anyone stayed there?

Paragkash, we didn't stay there, but the location is good and convenient, as you say (I agree that Sultanahmet is a good choice). The reviews are largely good on tripadvisor. I think the hotel is one of the most difficult decisions to make when planning a trip. You will be there in May which means you'll probably have beautiful weather and the roof terrace does sound good. We met people who stayed at the Seven Hills and loved it, too. Good luck and let us know which one you choose.

I think Empire palace has a convinient location. I am getting a good deal @ Empire palace.

It has been awhile since we've been to Istanbul so I don't know what current rates are but we stayed at Dersaadet Hotel.
www.dersaadethotel.com
If you stay a certain amout of days they picked you up at airport.
The service was wonderful-breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning with a view of the Blue Mosque. View of Marmar Sea. Walking distance to everything.
We flew to Cyprus for a week & they let us keep a bag at the hotel when we came back to tour more of Turkey.
Turkey is a wonderful country. You will enjoy it. Chris
