Is Monday a bad day for Rothenburg?

Is there any day that is not a good day for Rothenburg? Are all the shops closed on Monday?
Thanks,
Donnae

Although I think the laws might be loosening-up, It's very hard to find things open in Germany Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday. Monday should be fine.

Thanks Liz, we'll decide which day to travel to Rothenburg based on the weather then.

Hello Donna,
the only things making Mondays a bit difficult in Germany are:
Museums are most often closed on Mondays and
a lot of Restaurants are closed on Mondays (or Tuesdays) as their day off.

Other than that you'll be just fine.

I checked out this website on Rothenburg and it doesn't look like Monday's are a problem. The Criminal Museum is open daily and Kathy Wofart's Christmas Stores are open daily.

Kathy Wohlfart has many stores in Rothenburg now. The one you want to visit is the main store that is almost next to the Eisenhut Hotel on the same side of the street. There is another one across the street and one more on the corner. We have shopped there many times and have always found the service, shipping and prices to be good.

What website did you look at to determine the hours of the museums?

Almost all stores are closed on Sundays in Germany except in Rothenburg. Monday is no problem.
