inexpensive London hotel near sights

We arrive Heathrow @2pm and leave next day @1:20pm. There are 4 of us and we have never been to London.I have seen the posts reguarding the bus tours which sound great. I would appreciate hotel/B&B suggestions.

I'm assumin you're looking for quad accommodations. There's a recent post asking about rooms for 4, http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34485510

Another good one is http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34455329

I'm not sure exactly what you consider inexpensive but many of the hotels mentioned on these threads seem to be moderate in price.

Thanks for the links MFNYC. I'll just do some homework! Much better than housework!

Try the regentpalacehotel.com. I thought this was pretty inexpensive and nearby a lot of the sights.

We stayed at the Surtees near Victoria Station. It was central to many things & we really only were in the room to sleep, shower & change. Didn't need a luxury room so we saved money there to use for good food & sights. The place was clean & safe & the people were nice. We walked from Victoria Station with our luggage. There were 4 of us but we got 2 rooms. They did have a "family" room which held more people.

Good luck!

I would do a search on the regent palace above and also on trip advisor before booking it. Although it is central and inexpensive there have been a significant number of unfavorable comments.
