Cheap London Accomodation
Need advice on cheaper accomodation in London around Bloomsbury/Russell Square/Victoria region.
Best will be under 40 pounds for each person (I need a twin room). And the hotel MUST be tidy and clean.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks!

You should be able to beat that price by a fair bit by bidding for a 4* hotel on Priceline. The zone that includes Bloomsbury is called Bloomsbury/Marble Arch so you would have to look to see if it was acceptable. The zone for the Victoria area is called Westminster.

Depending on when you're going, you might book something that can be cancelled & then wait & try lastminute.com, laterooms.com or bidding on Priceline (if you're unfamiliar with Priceline have a look at biddingfortravel.com)
Some options for a "safety" reservation-
A frequent poster here Elaine recently stayed at the Arosfa (I think Bloomsbury) & thought it was clean & ok but very small bathroom & shower. She said next time she'd try the Morgan or St Margaret's-I believe both in Bloomsbury area.
There are some inexpensive b & bs on Cartwright Gardens (Jenkins, Avalon, Harlingford) in Bloomsbury, BUT recent posts have indicated prices are no longer best value when you have options like websites already mentioned.

You don't say when you're going to London, but if it's in the summer, one option you might consider is booking a university dorm room. The rooms are usually very spare - bed, wardrobe, desk, sometimes your own bathroom - but that can equate to 'tidy'. And they are usually more secure than hostels, if you are on that kind of budget. We paid £22/per person for our dorm room acommodation about 4 1/2 years ago. The website is below:

Hi
Yes, I posted on the Arosfa earlier this month. Just click on my name here, and the posting(s) should come up to provide details.
I don't know if they have twins as in two beds, I did look at a double, and a triple. The double was 50-something pounds for the room, a triple (3 real beds) was 70-something.
