Leonore, if you don't dress slutty and you look good in sexy clothes, you go girl!

Rita,
I agree! Saw a guy just the other night at Balthazar with black trousers, black polo with a slight tan and I think he was quite handsome and well dressed!!
Although, the mention of a nice neck brings us to the matter of the same outfit on some slob with a beer belly would not be worth a second look
And Plein-
I have walked those cobblestones in Paris in high heels and it has to be a talent acheived at childhood by Parisian women to manage not to stumble and hobble along! They do walk differently though, sort of on their toes more and not using the heels,as if we want to do that all day while sightseeing!
I save it for the nighttime when we take cabs more or walk shorter distances.
This is all a matter of taste though,I have a cousin who is quite short and she wears high heels ALL the time.
Men really cannot relate to any of this!
No, Sammie, we like Carol. We only attack people we don't like.

Sam, either you are a strange man or a terribly bored one.
You think you can come on a fashion thread and make all the women flutter around over your statements.
Why don't you add something constructive if you have to be here at all.

I am from NYC, and I dont know why, but I just can't get that excited over a polo shirt. Reminds me too much of an accountant of casual Friday. I prefer a short sleeved stretch blend button down - especially when stretched over a broad chest. With some plain front khakis or wool blend pants (no pleats or relaxed fit) and a pair of stylish loafers. Yum.

OK, now back to what clothes makes men look sexy to me.
A starched white shirt with long sleeves rolled up a bit and black dress pants that fit.
A nice firm body underneath, really just good abs, and that does it for me.
Uncle Sam, if it makes you feel any better, women can wield the word "slut" just as nastily as men can.

That being said, you sound like a little child protesting to his parents that what he said wasn't bad because "Timmy and Mary said it too!"

You can argue all you want, but a person, man or woman looks best and maybe the sexiest when dressed up a bit. The way the fabric is cut and hangs on a person says alot, and whether you are dressed casually or elegantly just try to be neat and clean and wear the most expensive clothes you can afford. It makes a big difference.
One or two outfits cut well is better than four or five cheap ones.
