I am too Sexy for comfortable clothes!

What shall I wear to Europe in October? I don't want to wear shapeless travel clothes like I see in the catalogs. I don't wear to wear jeans and sneakers.
Any ideas from traveling women with sex appeal for some outfits for a woman well past her teens?

your closet Aug 6th, 2002 02:12 PM

Pick your 4 best outfits that you wear at home in that season, ones that would pack fairly well, are reasonably comfortable, look great on you, and make you feel good! Hopefully pieces that have a bit of 'mix & match' potential. Take those. Easy as that.
Good advice, also throw in a little fun like a piece of red or leopard. Just don't pack the stiletto heels!

Stephanie Aug 6th, 2002 03:14 PM

Throw in a little tank top or two and some sandals and paint your toenails and you are on your way!

It's very possible to look sexy in "comfortable" clothes..if you got it ...you got it!

Slim pants or skirts, an oversize sweater, layered tight tops, vests, one great jacket, low heeled boots, etc.

Don't take more than a 22" suitcase and break in your shoes/boots ahead of time.

what qualifies as well past her teens? mid-30's?

weather Aug 6th, 2002 03:21 PM

For Stephanie's post above. I like your spirit but depending on where Leanore is heading within Europe, it could be FALL weather in October (not a heatwave!).

Dumb Aug 6th, 2002 03:34 PM

No, I think if a person can get to an age that they can type that message and they can't figure out that a woman can be comfortable and sexy they are dumb! I'm sexy and smart.

RANDI Aug 6th, 2002 03:41 PM

PACK THE STILETTOS BABY!! Have a great time!

LA Woman Aug 6th, 2002 03:42 PM

I bet!
Anyway she was asking for ideas and I think she got some good ones.

I agree with Leanore, I have to chuckle when I see what is advertised as travel clothes, like gunny sacks with sleeves.
Or safari looking which is a hoot in a European city. Not to mention those horrible khaki separates!

How about spandex?

Eva Aug 6th, 2002 03:56 PM

I say pack your leopard prints, short skirts, and your sexy attitude. Get a manicure and pedicure before you leave, put some sexy strappy sandels in your purse for when you arrive at a restaurant and DON'T wear one of those travel vests with a million zippered pockets.

I travel with non wrinkling nylon or cotton body skimming dresses and skirts with various tops of cotton knit
and comfortable cotton knit pants for on the plane.

NYgirl Aug 6th, 2002 04:56 PM

Leanore,
whatever you wear at home you can wear on a trip!

I wear a lot of slim fitting black trousers, black boots with a small heel,(flats can be as bad on your back as high heels).
Sweaters/light tops with vests,good accessories.
Nights, this season is good for velvet-take a low cut top or unbutton a black velvet shirt over black trousers or skirt.A great necklace.or scarf.
Or if you are going somewhere dressier, wear a black suit with nothing under the jacket.Or a lace top under the jacket.*Black is my choice, you can choose whatever color suits you:)

A complete Lady Domina outfit, leash and all, can't be beaten...

xxx Aug 6th, 2002 05:47 PM

Or you could wear Lady Godiva's costume, I'm certain that all heads will turn gawking at your lack of attire. Take the empty suitcase along with you anyway to bring home your souvenirs.

harley Aug 6th, 2002 05:56 PM
Why not try a biker outfit - some black leather jacket and pants, a bandana, maybe grow a moustache. And don't forget the tattoos...

John G Aug 6th, 2002 05:59 PM

Always remember, darling, that you can go anywhere with a mink coat, a tube of lipstick, a manicure, and a comb. Words to live by.

Hurt has an excellent suggestion - if you plan to take a leopard, as several posts above have suggested, do make sure you pack a leash as well. Your leopard will be turned away at the Vatican and at more exclusive nigthclubs without one, and might be stared at in the street as well!
