How to get from Paris to Florence?

What is the best way to get from Paris to Florence? The train is long, 13 hours. U.S. airlines are very expensive. Any ideas on a good, reasonable airline to travel?

I've used CityJet, when flying NYC-CDG-Florence. Don't know how cheap it would be for just your leg. Also check Volare.

Aldo, EasyJet, Ryan's Air, BMI and Volare don't fly Paris to Florence - I've also been trying to locate a discount airline for this leg. Volare flies Paris to Milan, where we are planning to then rent a car for Tuscany. Hope that helps. Cheers, Linda

Easy Jet also flies Paris/Milan. You could pick up your rental car or train to Florence from Milan.

Hi aldo,

www.volareweb.com will sell you a cheap ticket from Paris Orly to Venice. From there you can take the train to Florence. It's closer than Milan.

The train is short if you do it asleep. Book a berth in a 3 or 4 berth single sex sleeper. Leave Paris Gare de Bercy 1909, reach Florence 0729.
