Hotwire 5 star in Prague

Anyone have experience with Hotwire? Do you know which Central Prague, 5-star might be offered?

I'm looking for some guidance here, too.

Post your inquiry on Betterbidding.com with your stay dates and the listed amenities of the hotel.

Thanks for the tip. I've looked there already and this property isn't pinned (no wins reported for five stars in central Prague). I was hoping Brockbank had some success to report.

If you post there, someone may help you figure out what hotel it is.

Hilton has 2-for-1 offer for hotels in Europe. Why don't you just book directly from their website?

Hotwire and Priceline tend to track some on star levels, so you could check biddingfortravel.com for Priceline hotels that may have been won as well. See listings here of places people have reportedly gotten: http://biddingfortravel.yuku.com/top...IC-POLAND.html

Also, open the Hotwire description and see if there is a Travelocity rating. You can then try to backtrack.

I was in Prague in February and will tell you, most of the hotels claim 4*, and there are a bunch of 5* claims as well. City is walkable, so various nice places to stay and still relatively cheap by European standards

Priceline shows at least 7ea 5* hotels when I do a quick check from Sep 3-7. Prices range from $99 to $250 per night. Hotwire shows one for $129

It depends on the amenities, if it says it has a spa, I might bet on the Corinthia Towers which is in Prague 4. It has been awarded on Priceline before as a 5*, and some other likely suspects (chain hotels like the Hilton or Marriott) don't have spas, that I know of. That "cental Prague" area is huge and covera about anywhere.

I wouldn't say that most hotels in Prague claim to be 4* hotels at all, there are many lower level ones. I am not sure if there is any official ranking, but there are probably at least 10 that claim to be 5*, but I don't think some of them would deal with Hotwire.

Actually, Marriott has a full service spa and the largest fitness facility in Prague. Hilton Prague also has a spa but is not so central, though Hotwire and PL define central differently than I do.
