hi,<BR>do anyone of you know of decent hotels near the fuimicino airport in rome?

The hilton is walking distance from Rome Fumicino airport. I stayed there last year and was happy with the room and service.

The little port town of Ostia Antica is near Fumicino and affords some alternatives. Check out their hotels on line or in the Michelin guide. I recall an excellent Chinese restaurant there.

We used the Hotel Mach 2 near the airport. They have shuttle service to the airport. Hotel was fine.<BR>Their website is:<BR>http://www.venere.it/lazio/fiumicino/mach2/

There is a Sheraton Hotel near the airport that has a shuttle. A bit more reasonable then the Hilton at the airport and it's restaurant was good. Fine if your flight is not too early since the shuttle starts running at 7:30 AM.

We stayed at the Sheraton near the aorport- it is actually a 15 min drive but well worth it--<BR>Rooms were great and restaurant in the hotel was terrific!

sheraton golfe??

We stayed at Sheraton Roma earlier this month, the shuttle bus to town is regular. However, we took the transfer service and were chauffer-driven to the airport. Also took the guided nite tour from the hotel.Most of the staff speaks English,and they were very friendly... room's very comfortable, food is excellent,...10 minutes to town, 15 to airport..We had a hassle-free time.

Is the Sheraton Roma the same hotel as the Hotel Rome (on via tempio della fortuna)?
