Rome Airport Hotels

My son will be doing a study abroad in Italy starting at the end of August. He will be arriving 2 days before meeting up with other students to travel to the university in Perugia. Going early because of good deal with lst class frequent flyer miles. I wanted a hotel where he could get the shuttle to and from the airport (must meet group back there) and a shuttle to downtown so he can sightsee (if not sleeping). I have a tenative room at Holiday Inn Eur Parco Dei Medici, any other suggestions. How is the Holiday Inn West. It does not have to be a HI as I am not using points.

This is a frequent question on the board and you could check old threads. However, I just stayed at the HI Eur Parco and they have a shuttle to the airport and downtown Rome and it worked out perfectly. Good luck.

We love the Hilton. They are walking distance (literally) to the airport under a covered walkway. They also have a shuttle to the airport and to Rome.

The Hilton is very convenient but you pay very dearly for that. It is 2 to 3 times the price of the HI.
