I am planning a trip to Switzerland for mid September. I think I've decided on Wengen for 5 nights as a solo traveler. I would like to book something with good viewpoints from my hotel balcony. Many of the accommodations look very nice, just thought it would be good to hear some personal experiences before making a choice. Thanks for the help.

It's been several years, but we really enjoyed our two stays at Hotel Bellevue. We had a corner room with an awesome view.

You can also get more for your $ with a chalet rental vs. a hotel. Places like airbnb, vrbo and more local Swiss/Euro rental companies have tons of options in Wengen.

We have stayed at hotel Alpinrose and will return this September for 9 nights. It has wonderful views, a nice family owns it and I love to get full board with breakfast and dinner. After a day of hiking it's nice to not have to figure dinner out, there are always lots of people to chat with and as a single traveler I think that would be a bonus

We loved the Alpenrose too, over 2 stays I think we’ve had 12 nights there.
Definitely book half board, fabulous value.
