Hotels in Paris
My husband and I are going to Paris at the end of June for week and are looking for recommendations for hotels. We are thinking of staying near the Louve for a few nights and then in the Opera district. Any recommendations? We are willing to stay in two separate hotels during the week if that makes sense. We have both been to Paris before, but want to go and spend some more time in museums, enjoying the culture, good food and shopping.

It probably helps for you to explain what objectives you think would be accomplished by staying in two separate hotels. I would not do it, but you might have a relevant reason that would help others give you an advice.
Unless I am totally misunderstanding you, Louv(r?)e and Opera District are not even 2km apart.

I have moved hotels in Paris a couple times when I was there 10 days or more for variety or to try different hotels -- but I would never do it if they were that close together. So it doesn't make sense in your case if you think it is necessary because they are so far apart.
Folks seem to like the Bristol over there. Of course there are lots of nice hotels, but what is your budget. Hotel du Louvre, for example, is nice and has views of the Tuileries gardens.
