Hotel suggestions for Paris in the 2nd..??

It will be our second time in Paris and I like the sound of the 2nd! 3 night stay in April. $250ish hotel suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think there are only about 10-12 hotels in the entire arrondisement, most are 3* hotels near the Opera end of the arrondisement (eg, Daunou Opera, Lautrec Opera, Ascot Opera, Ile de France Opera).

I don't know about rates but pretty sure it is in your budget, I'd suggest the 4* Mansart as one of the best in that area. It belongs to a good boutique hotel group where I often stay (not in that hotel, but one of their others ones). http://www.esprit-de-france.com/en/ It is just barely inside the 2nd arr, though on rue des Capucines near place Vendome.

Tina, check out the apartments we use at bluemarble dot org. I don't know what their minimum stay requirements are, but 3 days may well fit.

We (two couples) had no complaints about the Hotel Favart - stayed there about 5 years ago. Really nice, friendly service.

I know they used to have their own website, but all I could find was this booking site.

@Christina. Thanks for the input. If you don't mind me asking which of the other esprit hotels have you loved?
@Dave. I looked into it but the beds were a bit cramped for my 6'2" husband and 5'10" me. Great idea though.
@yanky I will look into it.
Thanks Tina

FWIW and no personal experience, the Hotel Gramont Opera gets very good reviews.

I regularly stay in the Aiglon Hotel in MOntparnasse, it's one of my favorites in Paris.
