Lost of people on Fodors including myself would recommend that you look into apartments rather than hotels - if you'll be staying at least three days in each of these cities. With a furnished apartment, you have all the comforts of home including a kitchen which will come in handy with two kids. You can make your own coffee and breakfast, eliminating one restaurant meal plus you can stock it for yourself with fruit, cheese, wine for the evenings when you want to relax.

Several sites that you might check out are: ownersdirect.com, home away holiday rentals, rentvillas.com, sleepinitaly.com, views of italy, VRBO, Paris vacation apartments, Paris Bestlodge.com, parisperfect.com. These will get you started and I'm sure there are other recommendations from Fodorites. The only issue may be that apartment rentals have minimum stays, generally 3 or 4 being the least.

Have fun planning your trip.

Hi ANET01,

It would be really helpful if you could list the villages/towns in Switzerland where you want to stay.

It would also be helpful if you could give us your preferrred budget in specific figures (per person or per night).

Also sex of children might make a difference - same, opposite?

You should be looking for hotels with family rooms - and specifying that it is for 4 adults (meaning that cots for infants wold be useless).

Agree that a budget would help.
