If you are referring to the Albergo Santa Chiara in Rome smack in the middle of Centro Storico, behind the Pantheon, we stayed there in October of 2004 and liked it very much. The hotel is nothing fancy, but very comfortable and certainly ideally situated. We stayed in room 403 or 404, with a small balcony, and it was very nice. Your rate includes a terrific breakfast also.

I have stayed at the Santa Chiara twice in Rome. The location is perfect. You will be able to walk to almost everything except the Vatican.
The rooms that we had both times were quite adequate, the bathrooms include
a shower/bathtub arrangement.
This hotel is a little difficult to find, but that makes the street noise
much quieter. Think that you will be pleased with your selection of a hotel.
If we are lucky enough to return to Rome, we would either stay here or at a hotel in this area.

Maire, of what I recall, there was a stall shower which was quite large. Well, not really large, but much larger than the one we had in Venice. I think there was a shower door and a hand-held shower device, but you could certainly hang it and stand under it. One thing I did not like was this funky hairdryer, with a thick hose attached to it, sort of like a vacuum cleaner. So, I would bring a little travel size hairdryer.

Hi
We stayed there for 3 days a couple of years ago and the location was great. Check the room they offer you first to see if it meets your needs. We were able to walk to the Vatican, Jewish Ghetto, Colliseum, just about everywhere we wanted to visit in a short stay in January.
