Hotel in Prague
We're looking for a hotel near the city center = non -smoking, with breakfast for about Euro 100 per night. ANy ideas? Most of what I've found were apartments, but we would like a hotel. It can be small but clear. Any thoughts? Same question for Berlin. We would like to be in the Mitte section. Thanks

hi, marinaengel,
we stayed at the hotel central in Prague. it is just that.
it should be less than 100E.
it wasn't glamorous, but it was clean and the desk was helpful with getting us taxis etc.
for germany, the best rates appear to be on www.hotels.de.
regards, ann

Hi Marinaengel,
On my last trip (2006) to Prague we stayed in a hotel that is part of the Best Western chain, it was very nice. It's close to the center of town, and includes breakfast. I think it was the Best Western Meteor Plaza.

When I am in Prague, I now always stay at the Betlem Club Hotel.
http://www.betlemclub.cz/
It is equidistant from the Old Town, the Charles Bridge, and Wencelas Square. Also, it's about 100 meters from the Narodni metro station. It is literally right in the middle of everything.
It is moderately priced, clean, and safe. Moderately priced in Prague is really hard to find, anymore.
