Hotel in Bordeaux

Three friends and I (ladies of a certain age!) are planning to stay two nights in Bordeaux. We would be grateful for any recommendations you might have for a hotel. We'd like to stay near the city center, someplace safe but interesting--and of course not too expensive. Many thanks in advance for your suggestions.

have you looked at Booking.com?
We have no idea how inexpensive you want, or what other facilities you may require.
Booking will allow you to filter it all.

Exactly what does "not too expensive" mean? What is your budget, in euros, for a hotel room?

Good points! Thanks. As for hotel prices in Bordeaux, I'd say below $120 per room would be fine (we're staying separately). And, yes, we've looked at Booking.com as well as Trip Adviser--I just thought it would be helpful to solicit some other suggestions. Many thanks

I loved the Hotel Majestic in Bordeaux, it is everything you are looking for. Very good central location and beautiful hotel and a tram stop is right nearby. YOu can walk to places to eat within a short distance, also.

Friends of ours loved Ecolodge de Chartrons. We stayed in apartment about a block from there and loved the location, found it much more interesting than in the main tourist area. Plus, it seemed like a very safe location to us.
