Bordeaux City Centre Hotel

My husband and I are spending 5 nights outside of Bordeaux at Les Sources de Caudalie. We are looking for a one night stay in a small hotel in the city centre of Bordeaux before our flight the next day. Budget approx 300 Euro. Any special places you have stayed?

We too stayed 4-5 nights at Etche-Ona two Septembers ago, great location, quiet, they upgraded us to a suite. Smack in the middle of the Golden Triangle.

We fly in and out of Bordeaux every year and just wanted to mention that the traffic out to Merignac airport can be really hard in the mornings, so make sure to leave yourselves enough time depending on your actual departure time. Because of the that we always stay at the Campanile at the airport the night before. It is kind of an interesting set up since it shares the same physical building with the Premiere Classe Hotel, (so we book whichever is cheaper). I know that is not what you are after in this case but definitely give yourself enough in the morning. I almost missed a flight once-not fun.

I really liked the HOtel Majestic. I just took the bus or something to the airport but it is in the center. It must have recently got a fourth star as it wasn't before.

Just in case anyone is reading this and looking for a hotel...we just got back from Bordeaux and stayed at the Hotel De Tourney. It was a gorgeous little boutique hotel. Close to everything, impeccable staff and service, and a lovely little room with a terrace.
