Bordeaux' City of Wine...Have You Been?

Just heard about Bordeaux' new in 2016 City of Wine - called the world's first wine theme park.

The futuristic buildings are a sight to behold.

Yes, it's brilliant (though I admit to thinking the entrance fee is high, and I'm not a huge fan of the Bordeaux vineyards - it's not at all just about Bordeaux wines, though; there is viticultural history from all ages and from all over the world). It's just one of many recent additions to the Bordeaux landscape that is making it a great city again.

When I was last in Bordeaux in cave man days I drove and walked around the city and it was so grimy with some old monumental buildings but even those were rather shabby. From all accounts like yours city shines it seems!

Bordeaux is quite attractive and convenient with the tram. Juppe started renovating it, cleaning the buildings, pedestrianizing areas and building the tram starting around 1995.
