They are only about 100 meters apart Daniela being on the railway station side of the river so I don't know if location makes a difference between these two hotels. If you are to ski, cable car stations (Kleinmatterhorn and Sunnegga) are closer from Antika.

We stayed in the Antika last year and really enjoyed it.

It's well located, but a bit of a walk from the train station. The Antika offers luggage transport though, just call them from the station or arrange in advance.

We stayed at the Hotel Daniela in late September and it was a delight! We called from the phone at the station when we arrived and someone was there to pick us up within 10 minutes. We had arrived quite early, but we left our luggage and walked back to the station for the Gornergrat train in about 10 minutes. We had booked a double with a view of the Matterhorn but were upgraded to a 2 level suite with a downstairs sitting room with sofa, 2 chairs, desk, armoire, closet, full bathroom, and balcony, and an upstairs bedroom with 2 chairs, a desk, armoire, closet, full bathroom, and balcony. It was decorated in rich, bright colors and was very charming. The view from the balcony was lovely even though the Matterhorn was behind clouds except for about an hour in the late afternoon. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We had dinner at the sister hotel, the Romantik Hotel Julen - a 5-course dinner that would have been 50 chf each, but our wonderful waitress asked if we were half-board at the Daniela, and when we told her we didn't realize they offered it, she called the hotel and had it added to our room bill, so it was only 30 chf each. We loved the Daniela and would stay there again if we are ever fortunate enough to return to Zermatt. It was a lovely village and we would enjoy being there in winter when it is covered in snow. Have a wonderful time when you go!

I forgot to mention that our downstairs room had a fireplace! How I would love to be there now that it is cold! I might also say that we would have been happy with our choice had we only had the one room we had reserved. Note that you can use the spa, etc. at the Romantik Hotel Julen. I had thought it was next door but it is a 2-minute walk or so.

We had also narrowed our choices down to the Daniela and the Antika. If a good view is important to you, check the Antika website and Tripadvisor pics and posts. The hotels in Zermatt are very close together, so many of them don't have a view of the mountains. Be sure to get a room on an upper floor if you want a good view. We looked into the window of the Antika and the public areas looked nice.
