Hotels in Zermatt

I'm trying to finish up plans for our trip! Suggestions for hotels in Zermatt under $250/night for a double would be greatly appreciated. We will arrive by train and would like to be not too far from the station. We are in our early 60's and like beautiful views out the window, if possible. Thanks!

Possible: hotel Butterfly, a 3-star withein easy walk of the RR station or you can get someone with the electric carts to taxi you

other possibilities may be at www.zermatt.ch

We stayed at http://www.chesa-valese.ch/en/. Depending on the season they may be in your price range. We had a beautiful double room with a balcony with great view of the Matterhorn.
Most hotels in Zermatt have free transfers from the station as does this one.

We stayed at Hotel Daniela and liked it--had a view of the Matterhorn from a small balcony. Someone will meet you at the train station with a shuttle--it is about a two minute ride to the hotel. The breakfast was one of the better ones that we've had in Europe. The "sister" hotel is the Julen which is also very nice and has a pool which guests at the Daniela can use.

I have stayed at the Daniela three times. Love it! DH and I always request (and get) the same third floor room with a balcony view of the Matterhorn. The Hotel Julen's indoor wellness area (pool/fitness area) is great.

We enjoyed Hotel Antika on our last trip, and Hotel Biner on previous trips (although it's been transformed since we last stayed there). We also enjoyed Casa Vanessa, which is an Apartment Hotel - more space, plus kitchen facilities. All had views of the Matterhorn from the windows, Casa Vanessa less of a view than the others. All were within walking distance of the train station - Hotel Biner was the closest, then Hotel Antika, Casa Vanessa the furthest (and up a steep hill). All provided pick up/drop off at the station though - just arrange in advance.
