Hotel Genio Rates
We would like to stay at the Hotel Genio next June (2003). On their website they have internet rates of E216. Is anyone aware of another site that might be less for this hotel or is this the best rate that I can get. We were hoping to spend less than $200/night near the Piazza Navona. Thanks.

I checked www.hotelsitaly.com for Genio, 2 people, one bed - for January 2003 - offering a non-smoking room for US $126.00 per night. This is the website we use always for booking Genio. Do not understand the price you're quoting. By the way, this is a terrific business person's hotel - with a norther european breakfast included in the price - and an excellent front desk, lots of english, big rooms, good bathrooms, room service!! And a block from the river, Navona, other great places. You simply cannot do better than this location.

Sorry, Sally, but I entered new dates - June 2003 - and it confirmed what you said - US $220 for two people, one bed. I assumed June 1 and six nights. Perhaps you can get a better rate at another website, but not the one I suggested. Sorry, and good luck! My last five times in Rome were always in February or March - probably explains why my rate was so much lower - and I've not been there in almost a year.

Sally: How about 141e for a double
. Did you go to their website at www.leonardihotels.com/ ?
They are in a chain (Leonardi) of 14 or 15 hotels. Click-on the "Hotel Genio" and then "Click Here for Special Offers" and then the dates 15/03/2003-30/06/2003. It lists a Double @ 141e. Regards, Walter
. You're right, after I clicked-on the dates it sent me to the far bottom of the page (WebTv problem?) and I had to scroll-up and just stopped at the 1st set of hotels assuming that they were the ones I clicked on.
Yea I thought it was a great rate for the shoulder season
.
Thanks Paule and sorry Sally if I got your hopes up

Sally, the Due Torri may be in your price range. Nice hotel, abundant breakfast buffet, elevator, a five minute walk to Piazza Navona. A double room w ensuite bath (tiny shower) was about $160 in Oct. 2001.

Hotel Due Torri
Vicolo del Leonetto 23
Rome 00186
Tel: (06) 6876983 or 6875765
Fax: (06) 6865442
http://www.hotelduetorriroma.com/
[email protected]
Thank you. Both the Hotel Due Torri and the Hotel Parlamento look more in our price range, although The Due Torri has a range on a double room (maybe for a quiet room or a view?). Which one is more centrally located to Piazza Navonna and restaurants ?
