Hotel Duomo, Naples

Any comment on this hotel? Price is certainly right.

I stayed at Albergo Duomo opposite the duomo perhaps 7 years ago, which might be the same place. At the time it was a budget place. For example, while our room had a bathroom, there was no toilet seat, shower curtain, or soap. While our room was spacious and had a TV, there was wide marker graffiti on one piece of furniture. Our room faced a back alley where motorscooters and loud music echoed late into the night.

There are 61 ratings/reviews of this hotel on venere.com. Have you looked at those?

We're staying not too far from there in June, so I'm kind of interested in knowing more about the area, myself.

We stayed there last summer. Check out our trip report (search on my screen name for it--called something like "Mom and teens...&quot--it talks quite a bit about Hotel Duomo and environs. One of our most amusing trip photos is of the exterior of the hotel, which would cause most travelers to turn back immediately. Inside is a lot better, and the manager was very nice and helpful. Definitely not luxurious, however.
