Last fall we stayed at the Hotel Correra 241 right off via Toledo. The location was great very near the Archeological museum and near many restaurants and shops. The staff was extremely helpful and the included breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Naples.

Hello DrG. I use to love the Ambassador Hotel (a Jolly Hotel) in Naples. The location was wonderful, the staff was very accomodating (my husband had a tooth break off while out to lunch and they got us to a dentist in Naples around 7:00pm, even sent one of the employees with us) and the roof top restaurant has the most beautiful view of the Bay of Naples.

However checking out their website I note that they have redecorated and it doesn't look quite the same. It use to have the formal Italian look. TripAdvisor members either like this hotel and would return or hated it (usually it seems they didn't like the City of Naples either). So mixed thoughts as is sometimes typical.
Various rooms are different sizes and it sounds like some rooms are lovely and others are out dated. So although I have fond memories of this hotel I don't personally know how it is now. But you might want to check it out yourself on TripAdvisors. I hope you enjoy your time in vibrant Naples!

We stayed at the San Francesco hotel last year for three nights. The hotel over looks the bay and has a great roof top terrace for relaxing in the evening.
It is a little off the beaten path but we enjoyed this quiet location.

San Francesco al Monte Hotel
Corso Vittorio Emanuele 328, Naples
39 081/4239111

Have a safe trip.

Costanopoli 104 - just returned and loved this hotel. Very close to the archeological museum. Very quite, well off the street and wonderful accommodations. Surrounded by trees and has a charming little pool. Great breakfast included.

Hi DrG,
Another rec for Costantinopoli 104. See their website wwwconstantinopoli104.com

It has been a couple of years since we were there but it was perfect. Very close to the Arch Museum, walking distance to bay, in the heart of the old part of Naples. Great staff - arranged a guide for us to the museum.

we enjoyed the Correra 241 this spring - if you are physically able (a few steep steps - no lift) and dont mind urban locations its charming and very comfortable and convenient.
