Hotel de Notre Dame - Beds

My friend is trying to decide between Hotel de Notre Dame and Relias Bosquet. We know Relias Bosquet is a sure bet for good beds, quiet, but how are the beds at de Notre Dame? Everyone says how cute and romantic it is but in the pictures of the hotel the beds look like they sag. Any comments? Thanks.

I think that may be a manifestation from using a 'wide-angle' lens...

Thank you for your photography critique but does anyone have any first hand information - like stayed there?

For as many wonderful comments as has been posted on this board regaring de Notre Dame and on Tripadvisor, I can't believe no one has a comment on the comfort of the beds. Anyone?

We gave our son and his bride a week in Paris for their honeymoon. We made all the arrangements for them and they stayed at this hotel. I will call them and get back to you, OK?

Ronda:

We stayed at the Hotel de Notre Dame, but we were two lady friends and had single beds. Very comfy. We talked to other guests and I must say no one complained.

There is another very recent thread on the hotel with posts from others who stayed there. Why don't you go over there and ask them?

Just do a search on the hotel name. Bon chance!

Thanks for your responses. I am trying to help out my friend and appreciate your comments.

Jeanne, they will be requesting twins as well due to the fact that her husband wears a breathing machine at night for sleep apnea and needs more room.

Thanks, Wren, what a nice gift you gave your son and daughter in law! Hope to do the same for our daughter in a couple of years.

Our room was on the front above the front door, maybe 3rd floor. We couldn't see ND or the river, but it was a nice view up the street to the boulevard and trees lining the Seine.

Our room had built-ins...kind of Ikea-like, nice. There's an elevator...hall lights are on a timer, so tell them to search out the light switch while the elevator door is open. (There were no windows in the hall)

There are other rooms on the back of the hotel, but I didn't see them. Don't know what view they have. Your friends may want to ask for a room at the front.

She did make a reservation today by telephone. It sounds like a good choice for a hotel. Thanks again.

Ronda, Sorry I did not get back sooner...but the word from my son and his wife is that the room and hotel were wonderful. Beds were fine. Their favorite thing about the hotel was the location.
