Hotel Jeanne d'Arc and Les Degres de Notre Dame
Hi!
I will be in Paris for 8 nights in September. I would like to stay at Les Degres de Notre Dame(assuming I can get a reservation!)for at least part of the time. I am now trying to decide whether I should spend all 8 nights there, or perhaps spend 2 to 4 nights at Hotel Jeanne d'Arc, and 4 to 6 nights at Degres...
Degres is in the 5th, and Jeanne d'Arc in the 4th.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Marian

Marian, why don't you just choose one or the other? Eight nights will disappear in a flash in a city like Paris. Why do you want to pack up and change hotels, especially when they're both fairly close to each other?
If you use the search box, you will find both of them have been mentioned, and www.tripadvisor.com is also another good source to check out reviews.

just to clue you into a different opinion, ridhardab, a frequent poster here and someone who had inquired on the referenced thread on the Jeanne d'Arc, didn't like the hotel at all when he went last Nov.

Correct I didn't. I didn't think there was anything quaint about it. I bet you can do better. It's cheap but you get what you pay for. There is a Libertel around the corner that often has specials. If not that one, try the Castex or better yet the Relais de Louvre.

A little more info:
Jeanne d'Arc is 58 euros a night with bathroom, Les Degres de Notre Dame is 70 euros a night for a "small" single with shower and toilet. The next size up room is 100 euros per night for 1 or 2 people.
Thanks for your help!
