hotel danube or hotel de l'abbaye st. germain?

Have stayed at Danube and love the location but wonder if L'Abbaye would be better.

No contest. L'Abbaye wins hands down. Beautifully decorated, great staff, close to Metro, etc.

It should be, it's a lot more expensive. Besides, the Hotel du Danube is a 3* hotel and the other is a 4* hotel. Of course it would be better, but you pay for it.

When are you going to be in Paris? The last I read, the Danube does not have a/c.

Some rooms at the Danube are now air conditioned. I love the place myself. I always ask for room6 and I adore the staff, especially Francois

We will be in Paris May 2 for a week. Are classic rooms at L'Abbaye small? The Danube states that we will have a renovated room. Thanks for your response.

I have stayed in both..no comparison. The Danube has its charm, but the l'Abbaye is in a class by itself! Obviously, it is more costly.

l'Abbaye also has a great following and you generally need to reserve early.

Enjoy your search...

Just to throw another name into the mix, if you like the location of the Danube, and are considering spending as much as L'Abbaye, have you thought of Hotel d'Aubusson? A very nice 4-star, central location in the heart of the 6th, beautifully decorated rooms, and lovely staff. We've stayed there many times.

Or just up the street from the Danube, The Millesime Is Owned by the d'Aubusson group and has lovely rooms at a lower price.

Another vote for Hotel d'Aubusson. We found it the perfect place to stay on our first visit to Paris last fall. Liked
our room; loved the location and the terrific staff.
