Hotel Danieli in Venice

I've got my finger on the mouse ready to reserve a room on Orbitz, and the reservation tells me that the room is a single room in the palace wing. After reading other posts on here, I'm concerned that this is in one of the "hidden buildings" that fellow Fodor-ites have warned of. Can anyone confirm this please!! Thanks. Oh - and I'm leaving in 2 days and accidentally cancelled my original hotel reservation so any quick help is greatly appreciated!

Oh - I forgot to ask...is a single room large enough for two people? I'm starting to become confused with all the different terminology between the countries I am heading to. Thanks again!!

No - a single room is for 1 person only.

Thanks!! I kind of assumed so but I thought I better ask again just to make sure. I assumed that the price on Orbitz was too good to be true! Again, thanks for your quick response! I think I'll just book the Hotel Colombina and be done with it.

A single room will probably have just a single bed. And I have seen some of the smaller rooms at the Danieli, and they are indeed small, and most certainly at the back. While I enjoyed staying at the Danieli, for its glamorous setting, the rooms were old, and the restaurant not very good. I would not stay there again, at the rates they charge.
