Luxury Accomadations in Lindau?

Celebrating our 20th wedding aniversary in late June and would like to stay at either the Hotel Bad Schachen or Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Lindau. What do you folks out there recommend?

Having a hard time finding another luxury property in Meersburg which has a pool. Does one exsist?

Many thanks!

hi there,

cant speak for Lindau. In Meersburg there is only upper class hotel with pool: the Parkklinik which is more a spa hotel. Take a look at:

Maybe the best place for romantic/luxury days in Meersburg is the Romatikhotel, but there is no pool. Look at:

Have fun

NancyAnn,
I can definitely recommend the Hotel Bad Schachen. We stayed there in Sept. 2002 and were quite impressed. The hotel is old, very large and beautiful - antiques and fresh flowers. The restaurant is WONDERFUL!
The view across the lake should be gorgeous, but it was raining and cloudy when we were there. It is not far from the old city of Lindau, which is on an island and very interesting. Be sure to go in the churches.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Did either one of you spend time in any of the towns bordering the lake in
Switzerland?
