Hotel Conca d' Oro or Hotel Pasitea

Has anyone stayed a either Hotel Conca d'Oro or Hotel Pasitea in Positano? We can't find nicer hotels with availability.

I stayed at the Conca d'Oro in April. The people were very nice, the room was nice, the views were beautiful. It's fairly high on the hill, so there's a little walking and step climbing to do going to and from the beach area, but that's Positano. I think the Pasitea is on approximately the same level, so you'll have this whichever one you choose. Dinner was included in the price when I went. The dining room is very nice, and I thought the food was very good. I think you would have a very nice stay there.

Hi Dick! Was there an option at the Conca d'Oro for bed-and-breakfast instead of hhalf-board? Are there different room categories there, or are all the rooms basically the same? Thanks!

Mariarosa,

I requested a reservation through their website, www.albergoconcadoro.it, and their reply said the only availability they had was a double room with half-board for 280,000 lire. The website allows you to request single, double, triple, or quad, but other than that, I think they're pretty much the same. I don't know if they always have a half-board requirement or not; maybe it's different in high season. The dining room was very nice and the food was quite good. The rooms don't have private balconies, but they all (as far as I know) open onto a large terrace with beautiful views. The views from the dining room, which has floor to ceiling windows but I think is open air in the warmer months, are also beautiful. I'm sure it's not as spectacular as Le Sirenuse or other luxury places, but at the price, I think it's a very good choice.
I have the exact same question - we're deciding between the same hotels. Does anyone have any more current information?
