Hotel Alla Salute Da CiCi
Hello,
My husband and I will be traveling to Italy in two weeks and as this trip came up very unexpectedly, I'm only now making reservations for a hotel. I've already booked a hotel in Florence, and now struggling with reservations in Venice. Out of the many hotels I've emailed, most, to no surprise, are booked and only one so far seems to be a fitting choice based on price and location and that is Hotel Alla Salute. Could anyone please let me know if they have stayed there before and what they thought of it.
Thanks very much in advance.

Thank you very much Carlos. I had seen the reviews on TripAdvisor site, but wasn't sure if that site is trustworthy. But I guess if you (and maybe others) also know about that site, then it's more popular than I thought and therefore, must be valid.

Most definitely. On a personal note, I also stayed there a couple of years ago and the place was beautiful, very unique, quaint, has a lot of character. It's very quiet and close to the major site....you are practically accross from P. S. Marco.
Enjoy....I'm going to Venice this Friday for my honeymoon but I'll be staying in Hotel Ai Do Mori.....2 steps away from P. San Marco

No, but I've had a lot of great feedback from many fodorites and I wanted to give it a try for our honeymoon. However, this hotel is definitely really small, much much much smaller than Alla Salute...and they do not suply you with breakfast....just FYI. The only reason I booked this one is because it's in the heart of everything!

Erie,
How funny, I wanted to find out if they had any availability for this weekend, and I sent them an e-mail about 15 min. ago and I just got their reply.....THEY ARE SOLD OUT.
How many nights are you staying in Venice, have tried any of the hotels near the train station?
Good Luck!

Hi Carlos,
Yes, they have a room available for 140 Euro/night. But I just posted another question - about renting an apt? I found one apt available for 105 Eur which seems to be larger and just as nicely located as the hotel. I've never heard of anyone renting an apt before, so I was wondering what is it like, how different is it from renting a hotel room and wether it is a better choice. Any thoughts?
Thanks again, Erile
