Hostels in Rome??

Any recommendations of a hostel in Rome? Pros and Cons? Or a clean, centrally located, INEXPENSIVE, safe place of accomodation for 3 adults/3nights?

Thanks,

D.

I haven't stayed there myself, but I've read many favorable reviews of www.the-beehive.com. It's very popular so book ASAP.

I've recommended Hotel Julia several times also. I think the URL is www.hoteljulia.it (at least that is what I have bookmarked). If you are arriving or departing to the airport from here, I would recommend having them arrange a shuttle for you. It is cheaper than doing it yourself. The staff was very helpful. The only con I had was that the single room I had did not have a shower or tub, it was down the hall. I was only there a couple nights so it wasn't a big deal, but if I were there longer, I'd prefer the shower in the room.

If you're open to staying in a convent, see the list provided by the Church of Santa Susanna, the American Catholic Church in Rome. Go here: http://tinyurl.com/c733n3. There is also a link to a site specializing in monastery stays.

Hey all,

I checked into Hotel Julia, too expensive, for me anyway, 200€ a night for a triple. I will keep looking.
