Help with Vienna: restaurants, shopping, concerts??

We are off to Vienna for 6 nights in August.
Can anyone help me with recommendations of restaurants, concerts, shopping, neighbourhoods to explore etc. Thanks.

For concerts during the dates you are there, look at the Vienna Event Database at this URL:

The Wien.info.com web site is one of the best I have ever encountered. Spend some hours there and then come back with some more specific questions. Vienna is my favorite European city and there are lots of answers available on this sight if you are a little more specific.

I see that there are concerts performed at the Schonbrunn Palace in the Orangery. There is also a package including dinner. The Palace Orchestra is performing. Has anyone attended the concerts? Has anyone eaten here?

We love Italian food and thoroughly enjoyed Cantinetta Antinori in Vienna. It is owned by the Antinori wine family. The food and wine was excellent. It is located off of the Graben.

Vienna is lovely.
