Aerogare means terminal in French. The C and D are halls, not terminals. You don't need to change terminals, just walk from one hall toanother. Piece of cake, and there are signs everywhere.
Google aéroport Charles de Gaulle and you can easily find a map of terminal 2.

Hm. I disagree that it getting from T2C to t2D is a piece of cake. Unless things have changed radically since I was last there, directional signs were at a minimum.
D and C do NOT connect directly. One must go to the end of Hall C, the end opposite from the RER exit, and find the steps that descend to a mini shopping mall. Cross this shopping all and then ascend the stairs on the other side. That should put you in Hall D.
Only an hour? I hope you have time to clear passport control and make it to your next flight.
I suggest you walk because the shuttle bus meanders all over the place.
Your time may be tight, particularly if your arriving flight lands out on the tarmac and you are bused to the passport control facility. There, the lines can be daunting, depending on how many international flights arrive about the same time yours does.

I certainly disagree about anything at CDG being easy. I've been there a lot, last time in April. Signs are practically nonexistent. I've traveled all over the world and it's the most confusing, poorly marked airport I've ever been in. I have a 50 minute connection next week and am certainly not planning on making it. If I do, it will be a bonus.

I don't think CDG is an airport that's easy to navigate too. Terminals 2C and 2D sound really close to each other, but it's a far walk. We were to have a 55 minute connection time, but it decreased to 35 minutes more or less since our arriving plane took 20 minutes to get to the gate.

In June we had an hour and a quarter to make a Rome flight with similar logisitics to yours. Plane arrived at CDG on time but the mob of frantic travelers and dawdling at Transfer Control caused us to miss our flight. Air France was good about getting us on another Rome flight an hour later but I suspect that flights to Florence may not be as frequent.
Other comments about poor signage are accurate. I would also walk rather than go on the meandering airport shuttle bus.
Check when next flight to Florence is or even next to Rome then to Florence, should you miss your flight.
Good luck.
Anthony

Let me tell you of my recent experience in CDG (last week). It took us over 30 min from the moment we landed until we reached our gate (2C). Then it took 15 more min to reach the departure gate (2F). 55 min are NOT enough for CDG. I am doubtful if you can make it, I am SURE your luggage will not!!! Believe me, I have had a lot of very bad experiences at CDG. I will not allow any connection in this airport that is less than 2 hours. This is my minimum! Tell your travel agent or the airline that you demand a later flight.

lol...I am my own travel agent (worked as one for years as well as United Airlines). I knew when I booked the 50 minute connection, it would be very iffy. However, I will not have checked baggage, am in business class (so should be one of the first off) and I know it's possible to make, but very iffy. There are several other flights if I don't make it.
