FCO airport (Terminal 5 and Terminal 3)

Hey

I will be arriving at Terminal 5 and my family will be arriving at terminal 3 later this week at FCO airport. I will be the first one to arrive. Where should we all meet? We will be taking a shuttle to Rome. Can I go the "Meeting place" outside of Terminal 3?

Thanks

I believe T5 is departures only (reached by bus). I really doubt you are arriving there. You will be at T3. Outside of baggage claim (past the frosted glass doors) is a big poll with a sign that says meeting point. If you have booked a private shuttle, they will be waiting there with a sign with your name on it.

kybourbon is correct. Terminal 5 is for departures only; See this article for info on T5: ** http://tinyurl.com/terminal5-fco **.

Many US-flagged airlines post on their websites that you will be arriving at T5, which is incorrect. At FCO, only terminals T3 and T1 have baggage carousels so although you arrive at "gates" before you walk to the terminals... I guess the only terminals you could really arrive at would be T1 and T3 at the FCO airport.

You might read this article which has pictures of the frosted doors and meeting pole in T3 that kybourbon mentions: ** http://tinyurl.com/FCO-meet **

To understand the arrival process, again with lots of pictures and maps, this may help: ** http://tinyurl.com/t3-baggage **

You may have to walk among the drivers to find "your name." Some of them often more involved in talking with each other than holding up your sign! Good Luck!
