Help with Condor vs. Lufthansa or Air Canada Business class

Hello All

Due to my son's foot injury, his doctor recommended we upgrade to business class or a seat where he can elevate his foot.

I was wondering if anyone had used Condor business class and how it compared to other airlines business class.

The reviews are awful for Condor itself and my family tells me to stay away from this airline, but it was relatively cheaper. Could you let me know if you have any experience with it ? Thanks so much

I flew business class on Condor last summer. I would not pay for it again. On my flight, the seats reclined into almost flat but it was still pretty uncomfortable. I am sure Lufthansa would be way better though I have do direct experience.

Condor got us there, but the service I got didn’t justify the price.

Have you checked seatguru.com yet?

Don't know AC's product, but I think of Condor's Business class more as something between premium economy and a "real" state of the art business class.
Seats don't recline into a fully flat bed, limited choice of personal entertainment, no fine dining above the skies.

I would not hesitate to fly Condor in biz if this meant a considerable saving compared to LH or AC.
If Condor was just a bit cheaper, I'd probably opt for the other airlines.

P.S. With mobility issues involved, I'd lean towards nonstop services.
In addition, you may want to check AC's and LH's PE seats on this route before you go for biz.

In that case, I'd choose Condor.
Seats are as wide as in LH PE, but you get much more legroom.
In addition, flying business can come with additional perks like free/more luggage, more frequent flyer miles etc.
If your son or you wants your favorite shows or games, I'd bring the tablet and don't expect much from the onboard entertainment system.

"Elevate his foot" in Premium Economy????? And he is how tall? What's the pitch (distance between seats)?

If elevation of the foot is key, I don’t think Lufthansa Premium Economy will do it for you. I flew Lufthansa Prem Econ last fall. The seat has a good pitch but your feet are on a foot rest.

If elevation is the key, book a bulkhead seat.

The Air Canada website will show you clearly how much leg room you will have in Premium Economy and I doubt it's enough to elevate a foot. That section offers a roomier seat pitch, by a few inches, not the possibility to stretch out.

You didn't ask, but why aren't you flying back to Toronto from Paris, rather than backtracking to Frankfurt? If you run a multi-destination flight search on the Air Canada site you should see that the price for flying to and from Frankfurt is about the same as going home from Paris direct, and you save the time and money of returning to Frankfurt.
