Jean - I don't have hotel reservations yet. I am trying to finalize my days so I can book the hotels. As of now, I am not sure how many nights in each city, or yet which cities I should stay. Do you think I should cancel Lake Como? My husband will be extremely disappointed..
Is this such a hassle to visit Lake Como?

hi jgliu,
yes it is a hassle to visit como. in mid-summer it's a wothwhile hassle. at end march/april it isn't.
I would give myslf 6 nights in Rome [gives you time to recover from jet-lag] 4 in Florence [you'll gather it's not my favourite] 5 in Venice. trust me, you will not run out of things to do, and if you did, you can do a day trip.
leave places like the lakes and the CT until a time when you can come back in the summer.
regards, ann

Ditto Ann's comments even though Lake Como is where I live in my dreams. I'd probably reverse the 4/5 timing for Florence/Venice because I'm a museum junkie, but you get to decide.
Is there any way you take a later flight out of Venice?

Jean - unfortunately I have booked my flights (non changeable and non refundable). We have finalized our itinerary to include 5 nights (Rome), 4 nights (Florence), 3 nights (Bellagio), and 3 nights (Venice). Thank you everyone for your all input.
