Help me find moderately priced hotels in ROME.

Hotels in central Rome are expensive! I am thinking of doing a few days in Rome in May and I want to find a inexpensive hotel for around $120 a night or less near the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon or Piazza Navona. I am not interested in staying near the Vatican, Colleseum, Trastevere or train station.

Any ideas?

Topping and recommendation:

Others will have lots of ideas, as well, but I was happy with the Hotel Italia. It's in your price range and we happily walked to all of the sites you mention and others.

Try the website for Hotel Panda. Two blocks from the Piazza di Spagna.

I'm being repetitive, but I'll mention Hotel Julia again:

We found Hotel Raffaello on a walk in last June. It was 105 euro/night. It was centrally located. We walked to all your interested spots easily. The hotel was clean, nicely furnished and the desk personnel were very helpful with sight & restaurant recommendations.

You can find them at www.hotelraffaello.it.
