Please help me choose a Rome hotel

I am planning a 7 night trip to Rome in February and I am trying to pick a hotel. There are so many to choose from that it is a little overwhelming. However, I have narrowed it down to the following choices:

--Sofitel
--Aldrovandi Palace
--Aleph (Boscolo property)
--Exedra (Boscolo property)

Any information or personal experiences anyone has with these properties would be greatly appreciated. Location and room size are particularly important to me. I am leaning towards removing Exedra from the list due to the lackluster reviews in Trip Advisor.

Thanks in advance for your help!

In any case, Aleph is a great choice...

The Sofitel is one of my favorite hotels in Rome. Wonderful in every way and I love the location.

Agree that Sofitel is one of the best picks. In fact is one of the most awarded. However I find more charming "Portrait Suites". In that price range it worths a try...
And a little less pricey, although off the beaten path, Hotel San Anselmo.

I found what I think is a pretty decent deal with air and the Sofitel for 7 nights at abiout $ 1600 per person from Buffalo NY to Rome. All the other packages that included the Sofitel ran about $2000 per person. I think I am going to book it before it goes away.

Thanks!

In that case don't hesitate and go for the Sofitel. It's a great choice.
