Help!! Hotel in London near Victoria Station

Hi Everyone! I'm newbie to the fodor's forum. I LOVE this website, especially the forums.
Anyway, my husband and I are staying in London for one night in September. Can anyone please recommend a hotel (around 150.00 us dollars) close to the Victoria Station.
I almost booked central house hotel victoria , but after reading the reviews on tripadvisor, I decided not to. Alot of complaints about bug bites!!! I don't really mind small rooms. But I can't deal with dirty, bug infested, moldy rooms.

Thank you all

I've use Priceline for hotels in London, but two budget choices I've seen recommended are Cherry Court Hotel and Lime Tree Hotel, both within about 3 blocks of Victoria Station.

My son has just had a very successful stay at The Georgian House Hotel - close to Victoria Station - small room and bathroom and great breakfast.

I'm in London right now staying at the Hesperia Hotel on Cambridge Street right behind Victoria Station. It literaaly takes 1 mintue from the door to the hotel to the Track 1 entrance of the train station. It's not the best location, but there is complimentary wireless service, AC, clean rooms, iron, hair dryer, etc. I highly recommend it. I'm paying approx. 100 pounds a night. Try a search on the internet. Helene

Priceline is often recommended for London (although I haven't tried it myself). A friend of mine stayed at the Luna & Simone on Belgrave last fall and liked it; I'm not sure of the exact price, but it was reasonable. There are several small hotels/b&bs on Belgrave, which is between Victoria and Pimlico stations.

that would be the Thistle Victoria.

You just might get it w/i that budget if there is an internet special or something.
