Hotel near London Victoria Station
Hi
I am going to London in November and I would be grateful for any hotel recommendations which would be within walking distance of Victoria Station. I have checked with The Luna and Simone Hotel and Quality Hotel Westminster but unfortunately they are not available. Our budget is approx £100stg
Thank you

I stayed at the Victoria Inn, located in the Belgrade neighborhood, about 10-15 minute walk from Victoria Station Very clean, budget, quiet neighborhood. I paid $90/double, break fast included, then again this was in Feb 2002 when tourism was still trying to pick up from 9/11.

We stayed at the Hesperia-London Victoria just across from the Victoria Station in 2006. I don't remember what we paid. I think we booked through hotelclub.com and the rate was less than booking with the hotel.

Perhaps you might like to check: www.londontown.com, I have bookded Thistle Victoria hotel several times throgh the site for as low as 70 pounds depends on the seasons.
Thistle Victoria is right at Victoria Station, nice and clean room, except long walk to the room sometimes.

My son stayed at the Georgian House Hotel in June and was very happy with it.
The cost was 100GBP and it was an easy walk to Victoria Station.
The hotel rooms are small but comfortable and a very good cooked breakfast was included.

Thank you to you all for your replies.
I've booked The Comfort Inn Buckingham Palace Road. It's £214.00stg for three nights including breakfast so seems great value and is very convenient to Victoria Station also.

The problem w/ bidding Priceline for that zone (called "Westminster" on PL) - it is very likely your hotel will not be w/i walking distance of Victoria Station. In fact one of PL's Westminter Hotels is south of the river.
PL is great - I use it for London accomodation whenever I'm not renting a flat. But it is not really an option if one needs/wants to be in a specific neighborhood.

You really scored a great price on your hotel. I do have a restaurant suggestion for you in that area. We walked from our hotel across the street Victoria Station.
The Ristorante Le Palme D' jan
