4 star hotels near Victoria Station

Any recommendations on 4* hotels within walking distance of Victoria Station? Thanks.

We stayed at the 4* Rubens-at-the-Palace Hotel last May. It is within a couple of blocks of Victoria Station and right across the street from the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. We got a great rate on www.londontown.com. Their English buffet breakfast is fantastic and everyone at the hotel was very friendly. I would definitely stay there again. Within walking distance to many major sights.

What do you mean by Great Rate? I just want a clean place to sleep. After all your in London. Get out of the room and have fun on the town.

Chris, we paid 99 pounds including VAT and full English Breakfast. For high season in London, I think that's a great rate and it was much better than the rates quoted by many 3* hotels.

Thanks for the feedback on the Rubens Hotel. That was a consideration of mine, as well as the Thistle Victoria Hotel or the Holiday Inn Victoria. Any feedback on either of these hotels? I know they are closer to Victoria Station. We will be in London only one night, on a quick layover home from Italy. We are looking to quickly and conveniently drop our luggage off so we can get in as much sightseeing as possible.

I'm staying at the Victoria Park Plaza across from Victoria Station. Got a deal at all-hotels.com for a twin room at 108 euros a night in May. Most of the other .coms are quoting $189 a night.
