Amber you need to plan your itinerary first. Keep in mind that two whole days will be flying there and back. Decide the amount of days you will have in Italy, the amount of money you want to spend, the cities you want to see, and then plane tickets. We just came back from Rome, Florece and Venice and I would recommend flying into Rome and out of Venice(we did this out of Delta at the same cost as flying out of Rome) unless there is significant savings in flying out of Rome. Good Luck!

Last year my wife and I honeymooned around Europe for a month. We decided against a tour because we didn't want to be told where and when to go. It was intimidating at first since it was our first trip to Europe, but with a few good guidebooks and great advice from people in this forum planning the trip became a lot of fun. It was the best decision we ever made. Getting around Europe was a lot easier than I ever expected. What better way to start your life together than with a great adventure tailor made for you?
